What is the best way to look after my alloy wheels?

The simplest way to keep your alloys looking clean is to use a mild detergent and hot water with a clean sponge. There are many specially formulated alloy wheel waxes on the market, which are applied approximately every 5 weeks which will help prevent break dust and dirt sticking to your alloy wheels.

Do you provide a courier service for damaged alloy wheels?

No – We solely provide a mobile alloy wheel repair service that provides assistance to car owners in The City of London and The Greater London Boroughs who have damaged alloy wheels, As our service is 100% mobile, their is no need for you to courier your alloy wheels to any third party location.

No – Corroded wheels are not suitable for mobile service. Corroded alloy wheels need to be chemically stripped, powder coated and painted to manufacturer paint colour specification within a workshop environment.

No – Cracked alloy wheels are not suitable for mobile service. Cracked alloy wheels need to be welded in order to repair fractures / cracks. Can you repair bent alloy wheels on a mobile basis?

No – Bent alloy wheels are not suitable for mobile service. Bent alloy wheels need to be heated up and straightened in order to repair buckles and flat spots. Always seek a provider who adheres to Zurich insurance approved standards as well as being VBRA, OFT, C&G certified as heating and straightening buckled wheels requires expertise and precision engineering skills.

How can I maintain the finish after an alloy wheel repair?

Wash the wheel with water, prior to applying a degreaser which will remove brake dust and road grime. A non-abrasive cloth / mitt should be used to apply a wheel shampoo using the 2 bucket method to remove any surface debris. Dry the wheel and use a microfiber cloth to apply and buff finish a wheel wax.
